our vision
The world is facing major economic, social, and environmental transitions that are profoundly changing the way we live.
At Azura, CSR is at the very heart of the company.
For over 35 years, the group has been committed to an integrated strategy aimed at providing sustainable, healthy, tasty, and accessible food for all.
Our CSR approach involves a careful understanding of the needs and expectations of our clients, consumers, employees, and local communities.
It is based on a holistic and integrated vision that links economic performance, social progress, and respect for the environment. Every day, our teams work to minimize our impact: reducing emissions, optimizing water use, managing waste, and preserving biodiversity.
This commitment is also reflected in a structured CSR governance, designed as a strategic lever and applied across all stages of our value chain, from sourcing raw materials to delivering to the customer. It ensures alignment between our operational and functional activities and concrete sustainability objectives.
We also take action to support of people: providing good working conditions, developing skills, offering social support, and actively contributing to local initiatives.
For Azura, sustainability is both a shared responsibility and a driver of long-term performance.
This is the path we pursue with determination, alongside our teams, partners, and clients.
Our Strategic Pillars

Our commitments to limit global warming
Contributing to the fight against climate change is a top priority in our environmental strategy.
As a major player in the agricultural sector, we pursue two key objectives: to reduce our ecological footprint and mitigate our impact on the climate, and to develop resilient solutions to adapt to the changes it imposes.
In this context of global transition, Azura works to:
- Understand its exposure to climate change risks.
- Limit its climate footprint by reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
GHG Emission Reduction Targets
- SBTI roadmap for forests, land, and agriculture (FLAG):
Azura Group is committed to reducing its absolute GHG emissions in scopes 1 and 3 in the FLAG sector by 24.2% by 2028, compared to the 2022 baseline year. - SBTI roadmap outside FLAG activities:
Azura Group is committed to reducing its absolute GHG emissions in scopes 1 and 2 by 33.6% by 2028, compared to the 2022 baseline year.
It also commits to reducing its scope 3 GHG emissions by 44% per kilogram of product sold over the same period. - Commitment to zero deforestation:
Azura Group is committed to maintaining a zero-deforestation policy for its key raw materials associated with deforestation.
A Climate Committee has been established within the group to monitor the entire ecological transition plan.
In 2022, Azura took a major step in its CSR strategy by committing to the SBTI to reduce GHG emissions and build a resilient economy.
This ambitious commitment, validated in 2024, aligns our actions with global climate objectives.
Water Resources Management
As water is an essential shared resource, we are committed to its sustainable management throughout our entire value chain, from production to consumption, particularly for our cherry tomatoes.
This commitment is implemented through actions in the watersheds where we operate, by developing and executing sustainable water management plans.
Our goal is to preserve this precious resource while balancing the needs of ecosystems, local communities, and our agricultural activities.
To structure this approach, we rely on the international framework of the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS), recognized for its rigorous and inclusive approach to responsible water management.
Thanks to this certified strategy, our cherry tomato farms in Agadir and Dakhla, as well as our packing station in Agadir, implement a balanced and controlled approach to water management.
Circular Approach
Azura’s environmental policy is fully aligned with the principles of a circular economy.
Since 2020, the group has intensified its efforts to reduce, recycle, and valorize its waste by developing a comprehensive system:
- Creating a circular economy: “every piece of waste is a resource for us or for others”.
- 100% of our industrial waste (plastic, wood, etc.) is recycled.
PRESERVING BIODIVERSITY, REGENERATING SOILS
Our farms are gradually reducing chemical inputs by favoring biological alternatives such as beneficial insects and natural treatments, while adhering to strict sanitary standards.
In addition, Biobest Morocco offers integrated pest management solutions, thereby contributing to the preservation of biodiversity.
Social Policy
Convinced that human capital is our main growth driver, our Human Resources teams work with a continuous improvement approach to:
- Ensure the health and safety of all employees.
- Promote talent development.
- Foster social dialogue within the Group.
- Encourage diversity and equality, and prevent any form of discrimination.
- Guarantee good working conditions.
SOCIAL IMPACT
Azura Group also supports communities in southern Morocco through the Azura Foundation, created in 2014.
Its mission is to promote the implementation of solutions in education, sustainable natural resource management, and the capacity building of local stakeholders, through a participatory approach in which each party takes responsibility to create a positive and lasting impact together.
