Azura Group Validates Decarbonization Targets, Reinforcing Commitment to Climate Action
The Azura Group is strengthening its climate action initiatives by validating its decarbonization targets in alignment with the standards of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTI). This validation follows the commitment signed with the SBTI in 2022 and underscores the Group’s commitment to global efforts aimed at combating climate change and effectively reducing its carbon footprint.
The SBTI framework provides clear and actionable guidelines for achieving sustainable, climate-resilient growth. By setting measurable, science-based targets for greenhouse gas emissions reduction, we align our operations with the Paris Agreement’s critical goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C.
For over three decades, the Azura Group has championed agriculture that delivers benefits to all stakeholders. Our environmental, social, and governance initiatives are authentic and deeply ingrained in our operational philosophy. Our comprehensive CSR strategy encompasses every stage of production — from field to table — prioritizing agronomic research to minimize pesticide use, decrease our environmental impact, cultivate in unheated greenhouses, reduce plastic packaging, and promote waste recycling.
By adopting SBTI-approved objectives, the Azura Group not only commits to reducing emissions in accordance with the Paris Agreement but also implements tangible actions to mitigate our overall environmental footprint. Our sustainability journey is continually evolving, and we are eager to grow alongside our partners and stakeholders in this vital mission.
